safari ni hatua

I'm sure I'll have more free time once training is over, but it's amazing how fast time goes by here when you don't even think you're doing that much.  I'm up every day at 6am, shower, get dressed, eat breakfast, and head to school.  We have training from 8am until 4-5pm usually, which is a lot (in the beginning it was just Swahili classes, but we're starting to get more training on teaching now).  After class I usually head home, with maybe a stop at an internet cafe for an hour.  When I get home I spend some time talking with my family, study some Swahili or work on a lesson plan, eat, shower again (with all the dust from the roads here it's a good idea), and go to bed around 10pm.  Not much free time at all, but it's good to be busy.  And with all the walking I'm doing, I'm going to be in pretty good shape by the time I leave!

I finally got some pictures up - check 'em out!  I'll add more descriptive labels in the future, but for now the ones on there should give you a good enough idea of what the picture is of.  I'll also be uploading some pictures tomorrow of our trip to Mikumi National Park.  Seeing giraffes, elephants, hippos, gazelles, monkeys, zebras, and boars up close was an amazing experience.  Didn't see any lions, but I've got plenty more time for that!
